What size gravel should I use?

The most common sizes we supply are 10mm and 20mm gravel. 10mm is usually best for pathways, as it is easy to walk on. The 20mm is best for drives, because the smaller 10mm gravel may get into the treads of car tyres. For more information see our Gravel Chooser page.

How much gravel do I need?

As a guide, one cubic meter bulk bag will cover an area of approximately 25 sq meters to a depth of 25mm. You can use our online calculator for guidance of give us a call for more information. Remember that a cubic meter of the larger stones won’t cover as big an area.

Does the price include VAT?

Prices quoted are always fully inclusive delivered prices so there are no nasty hidden extras.

Does the price include delivery?

Yes, the price you see is a delivered price.

Do you deliver to where I live?

We cover the whole country! Simply select the postcode where you want the delivery to go to from the drop down menu.

How much notice do I need to give for delivery?

As long as your order is received before 2.00 pm you can have delivery the next day. However, we don’t deliver on Sundays or Mondays.

Can I pick a delivery day?

Yes you can! In the checkout section of the website there is a drop down menu with a list of delivery days you can select from. Our standard delivery days are Tuesday through to Friday.

Do you deliver on Saturdays?

Yes, although Saturdays incur a £30 surcharge, so many of our customers choose a Friday delivery.

Can I request a delivery time?

You can request either a morning delivery (before 1pm) or an afternoon delivery (after 12pm), for an extra £10. Unfortunately we are unable to offer more specific delivery times.

How do you deliver?

We deliver to the kerbside, using a tail lift offload and a pallet trolley. The delivery needs to be made to a flat hardstanding area. We cannot deliver using a crane offload. For larger deliveries, a tipper wagon would be used.

Do I have to be home when the delivery is made?

It can be arranged for the delivery to be left without a signature but we would need prior notice of this. However, for a tipper wagon delivery it is essential you are there to accept the delivery?

Will I receive an invoice or receipt?

The confirmation email is your invoice and receipt.

Are the bags and pallets returnable?

Unfortunately the haulier does not re-collect the pallets, so we ask our customers to dispose of the pallet safely. The bulk bags can be useful for collecting hedge cuttings and other garden waste.
